Howling, The

Theatrical Release Date:  TBC
Home Ent. Release Date:  25 Oct 2021
Cert:   Not Rated

Aided by the police, news anchor Karen White is on the trail of a sick and twisted serial killer. After an intense confrontation with the killer, the suspect is shot dead by the police and Karen White is left traumatised and suffering amnesia. In need of a recovery, Karen takes refuge within “The Colony”, a country retreat organised by her psychiatrist, Dr. Wagner. But things at “The Colony” aren’t as idyllic as they originally seemed and as blood curdling screams break the midnight silence, Karen’s memories slowly begin to come into focus. Directed by Joe Dante (Gremlins), with a screenplay by John Sayles (Brother From Another Planet) and groundbreaking special effects by Rob Bottin (The Thing, The Fog, Total Recall), The Howling is amongst the most definitive movies of the eighties. Graphically violent, sexually explicit and nightmarishly intense, it remains one of the most original werewolf movies ever made.
