Magazine reporter Katy Connors (Jane Greer) is sent to Mexico to write a story about Mike Latimer (Richard Widmark), a reclusive but famous writer. As she gathers material the two fall inlove. When their private plane crashes on the way back to Mexico City, Katy and Mike find themselves the guests of a mysterious trio, far from civilisation. When they discover the threee men are Nazi war criminals, they must flee for their lives. Alone in the jungle they realize that they will never outrun their pursuers – their only hope is to outwit them… Also starring Trevor Howard.
