A hopelessly cynical advertising copywriter, Roger Swanson (Campbell Scott) believes he's a modern Casanova. But his seemingly foolproof world of smooth talk and casual sex begins to unravel when he is unceremoniously dumped by his sometime girlfriend and boss Joyce (Isabella Rossellini). Reeling from humiliation, Roger's world is further complicated when his 16 year-old nephew Nick (Jesse Eisenberg) pays him a surprise visit, with one thing on his mind. Nick is desperate to settle once and for all the issue of his virginity and wants Roger's help. A witty, stylish debut written and directed by Dylan Kidd, Roger Dodger won Best First Film at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, the Fipresci and Don Quixote awards at the Venice Film Festival and was nominated for 3 Independent Spirit Awards.
