Synopsis:

Jim Slater’s father died in an Apache ambush along with four other men in a remote place called Gila Valley. Jim (Richard Widmark) is searching for the one survivor of the ambush – who supposedly went for help, but actually seemed to disappear with a hoard of gold. Against a backdrop of renewed Apache hostilities and impending war, Jim keeps encountering other relatives of the dead men, either after justice or the lost gold, including feisty Karyl Orton (Donna Reed) and the notorious Walker Brothers, as each battles to uncover the truth and the money that promises to go along with it. From legendary director John Sturges (Gunfight at the OK Corral, The Eagle has Landed) and based on the novel by Frank Gruber (Bulldog Drummond at Bay, Silver City).
