Synopsis:

The firm favourite of the Sundance Film Festival 2000 – multi-award winning documentary Dark Days is the directorial debut of Marc Singer. This unique film follows the lives of the community of homeless people living in the train tunnels beneath Manhattan and depicts a way of life that is unimaginable to most of those who walk on the streets above. Accompanied by a haunting contemporary score from DJ Shadow, the dramatic black & white imagery captures the incredible spirits surviving against all odds. This eye-opening experience challenges prejudices and shatters the myths of homelessness.
