Synopsis:

Academy Award Winner Al Pacino (The Godfather, Scarface, The Merchant of Venice) stars in this Depression-era tale. It’s a stifling hot summer’s day in South Philadelphia and Grandpa (Pacino) has decided that this day will be his last. His grandson Gennaro however, has more pressing concerns on his mind: today’s the opening of the La Paloma, a grand new cinema, and he needs twenty-five cents to attend the first show. As Gennaro struggles to raise the two bits needed for admission, Grandpa comes up with a way of earning the money which takes the two into a journey of self-discovery and reconciliation. Narrated by Alec Baldwin (The Aviator, Glengarry Glen Ross) and also starring Academy Award nominee Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio (Scarface, The Colour of Money, The Perfect Storm), Two Bits is a touching drama from James Foley, the director of Confidence and The Chamber.
