Synopsis:
Beautifully and faithfully adapted for the big screen from Arthur Ransome's classic novel, Swallows and Amazons is a treat for children and adults alike. Holidaying with their mother in the Lake District in the 1920s, four children set sail for a nearby island in their boat, Swallow, but soon realise that the island is also the territory of two other girls, whose vessel is named the Amazon.
