Based on the best-selling autobiographical novel by Stefanie Zweig Nowhere in Africa is the extraordinary story of a Jewish family who fled Nazi Germany in 1938 to make a new life on a remote farm in Kenya. The film, which stars Juliane Kohler (Aimee and Jaguar), Merab Ninidze (Papa Luna), Matthias Habbich (Enemy At The Gates) and Sidede Onyulo, had already picked-up five Lolas at the German Film Awards, a Special Jury Prize at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival and the Audience Award at the Bavarian Film Awards.
