Odette is the moving true story of a French-born heroine, Odette Hallowes (Anna Neagle, I Live in Grosvenor Square, Good Night, Vienna). Leaving behind her English husband and life in Britain Odette returns to her occupied homeland and spy for the Special Operations Executive during World War II. Smuggled into occupied territories to work with Radio Operator Alex Rabinovich (Peter Ustinov, Spartacus, Quo Vadis) and Captain Peter Churchill (Trevor Howard, The Third Man), Odette skilfully works with the French Resistance until her capture by the Gestapo. Taken to Ravensbruck concentration camp, Odette must survive interrogation and brutal torture as the Nazi Commandant attempts to extract her secrets and the names of her fellow Resistance fighters. Also starring Bernard Lee and Colonel Maurice Buckmaster (as himself) and based on the book by Jerrard Tickell.
